The Ottoman boutique hotel trend in Turkey began with the construction of the Ayasofya Konaklari (previously named and well known as Pansiyonlari) by the Turkish Touring & Automobile Association in the 1980s, as perfect copies of the Ottoman mansions that once lined the narrow cobbled lane since 17th century.
Ayasofya Konaklari is a neat row of pastel-coloured clapboard-clad houses, elegantly furnished in Ottoman style and beautifully lamp-lit at night. The collection of pension-style, homely designed rooms saw a veritable stampede of illustrious visitors including Bernardo Bertolucci, Roman Polanski, Sam Neil, Hillary Swank & Chad Lowe (in May 2005), Bo Derek (in August 2005 and August 2007), Ursula Andress (in August 2005), the Queen of Spain Sophia and her cousin Prince of Greece (in May 2000) and Ethan Coen (in June 2009).
Sogukcesme Street is squeezed between the ancient stone walls of Topkapi Palace and the back of Ayasofya. The area also encompasses open-air garden and terrace cafes, and an expansive garden that surrounds a wonderful orangerie where open buffet breakfast is served to all of the hotel guests.

Konuk Evi Garden Restaurant: Serves up to 200 people in sitting order, All of the hotel guests are having breakfast in the green house of this garden.
Sarnic Restaurant: Just beside Ayasofya, in Istanbul, you will find a Roman cistern as old as Ayasofya itself. This extraordinary building aged 1600 years, with its massive stone columns and its lofty brick domes, stands at the head of a row of guesthouse forming the narrow “Sogukcesme” Street between Topkapi Palace walls and Hagia Sophia. This unique Restaurant is now serving fresh samples from Turkish and World courses.

Airport Transfer to AYASOFYA KONAKLARI HOTEL ISTANBUL
The Airport Transfer Services is, as you may have already guessed, a private service. It's simply one of those (Airports to your hotel or City Center destination services) that all big airports have.
You prebook these services mostly online from internet, it costs (at the time of writing) 20 Euros one-way and 38 Euros return for main airport of Istanbul . The other arport which is on Asian side of Istabnbul costs about 50,00 Euros to the European Side city center. They work at anytime of the day. The journey from Istanbul Airport to the city centre is about 30 minutes long approximately.
