The May Hotel is an old Ottoman house transformed into a nice small, special
class hotel. The hotel is located in the Old Town, in an area called Kumkapi,
the palace of the fish village, and is really close to Sultanhamet. The hotel
is within five minutes walk of the Blue mosque, Grand Bazaar and all other main
attractions in the old city. The modern area, with the centre in Taksim, is
only a few kilometres away and is easily reached with a short taxi ride. The
hotel has just went into a deep renovation and now is maybe one of the best
hotels in the area.
Perfect option for the traveller who wants a hotel with a good location and
friendly atmosphere. Recommended.
The exterior looks like an Ottoman-style mansion. It has been well taken care
of and is now in perfect condition.
May Hotel Istanbul has 21 rooms with a private bathroom, shower and toilet.
All bedrooms have a satellite, LCD television, air-conditining, minibar, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, Orthopedic large or single beds.
The hotel has standard single, double, twin and triple rooms types. All the guest rooms are same standards and attractively decorated and furnished.
The reception is small in keeping with the size of the hotel.
The restaurant is large enough to accomodate number of guests staying in the hotel. It serves Turkish specialities.

Airport Transfer to MAY HOTEL ISTANBUL
The Airport Transfer Services is, as you may have already guessed, a private service. It's simply one of those (Airports to your hotel or City Center destination services) that all big airports have.
You prebook these services mostly online from internet, it costs (at the time of writing) 20 Euros one-way and 38 Euros return for main airport of Istanbul . The other arport which is on Asian side of Istabnbul costs about 50,00 Euros to the European Side city center. They work at anytime of the day. The journey from Istanbul Airport to the city centre is about 30 minutes long approximately.
