Pink Apart Taksim consists of 2 split-level apartments, one suitable for 2 guests and another for as many as 4 people. The 2-person apartment is on the ground floor and first floor, with a small private garden; the 4-person apartment above has a private balcony with a table and chairs. Each apartment has an American-style kitchen equipped with a large refrigerator, an oven, a microwave, and a washing machine. Pets are allowed in both apartments. The hotel is located in the modern part of Istanbul called Beyoglu, which is separated from the old city of Constantinople by the Golden Horn. Pink Apart Taksim is approx. 700 metres/0.4 mile from the main thoroughfare, called Istiklal Caddesi—Istiklal Avenue or Independence Avenue. Almost completely car-free (except for emergency vehicles and a historic tourist tram), the pedestrian street is lined with Neoclassical and Art Nouveau buildings, housing patisseries, restaurants, pubs, clubs, theatres, and art galleries. The avenue leads east to Taksim Square (Taksim Meydanı), a significant public space, shopping area, and public transportation hub, and the home of the Ataturk Cultural Center.
