The hotel is located on the street called Sadri Alisik Sokak, a 2 minute walk from Istiklal Street (Istiklal Caddesi in Turkish), a major thoroughfare that’s almost totally pedestrianized, except for emergency vehicles and a vintage tram that provides public transportation. Some 500 metres/0.3 mile to the west is Taksim Square (Taksim Meydanı), considered the heart of modern Istanbul. Nearby sights include Hagia Triada Orthodox Church, S. Antonio di Padova Catholic Church, a private museum of paintings and archaeological objects called the Pera Museum, or Pera Muzesi, and the Galata Convent of Whirling Dervishes, housing the Museum of Divan Literature.
